Well, I did it. I finally decided after my husband kept bugging me for not keeping our own blog, (due to my lack of creative writing, crafty skills) that I would start one. It's so fun going onto Jacques blog and looking and reading about everybody and what your all doing. Anyways, Jace and I were married on March 25, 2006 and been having so much fun. We are currently living in Mesa where Jace is working on his business and is going very well. (We're still trying to find the time to go back and finish school at BYU :/) Before then we were living in Lehi, Ut. where we spent most of our time riding his horses, camping, hunting and going to Moab for some good ole mountain biking. Five months after we were married, we came upon a little surprise......I was pregnant!! Bobbi was born May 24, 2007 in Provo, Ut.-7lbs. 10oz., 19 1/2 inches (3 of those inches was probably her huge cone head!) What a tough little baby-she came out with the cord around her neck and a huge goose egg on the front side of her little head. It took a while to get her to cry with all the nurses and my Doc working on her. Casey Perkinson (Scurr) was my nurse who helped deliver little Bob. It was so cool having her there as my right hand woMan-she was so awesome and took such good care of me and Bobbi. The experience was amazing even though Jace was standing in the corner of the room with his moon suit covering all of his chicken pox. Yes folks, he decided to get them the one time in his life 3 days before my due date!! We couldn't believe it! I had to stop doing my jumping jacks and throw myself into bed rest along with Jace who could not function one bit. We were praying that Bobbi would hold on for just as long as she could while we killed those pox! I was determined that Jace was going to see his first baby be born. I drowned those little pox in baths at least 4 times a day going through boxes and boxes of baking soda. Not to mention all the calamine lotion, benedryl, nyquil, bengay patches, and these stinky STINKY olive leaf extract pills that were supposed to work but, I think they were just to test me to see how much I do love Jace. You could smell those pills throughout every pore on his body! Anyways, long story short, after rushing myself to the hospital due to my water breaking, I sat there for a few hours waiting for my parents to fly in and Jace to clear the hospital administration to see if they would let him in with a moon suit on agreeing not to breathe, talk, or touch anyone or anything. Bobbi was finally born that night at 8:40pm with her daddy standing in the corner of the room watching but not touching. Although they did let him cut the chord! He finally got to hold her 4 days later.
She is now almost 8 months old and I think I'm sort of starting to get the mom thing down. No sleep, no eat, no sleep, no sleep, no sleep! It's all worth it though when they look at you with their little trusting eyes and just smile. You can't explain in words the amount of love you feel for your own until you got one. It feels like part of my body is missing when I'm away from her. She's got a sassy little personality with many, many facial expressions. We love her to death and can't wait for 10 more of her! Ahhhh ha!! Just Kidding! I am baby hungry though but I'm not allowed until I learn how to sleep in the night.
